Founded in 2014 by Pieter Bertram and Martin Lucas Ruben, "Mannen van de Wereld" specializes in crafting festival concepts, event marketing, and branding. Their portfolio includes organizing notable events such as By the Creek festival, Elrow, Vrijstad Festival, and Paradijs van het Zuiden, attracting an impressive annual attendance of 20,000 visitors.

During my internship, I was involved in the comprehensive marketing of the By the Creek project alongside Stefan, the lead designer. My responsibilities included creating online content, managing customer service, and overseeing content planning. Additionally, I contributed to the development of video concepts for merchandise promotion and enhancing the festival's overall marketing strategy, which significantly enriched my event marketing skills.
Before the event, I curated Spotify playlists for partner parties such as BASIS, Vunzige Deuntjes, No Diggity, ZeeZout, and Nachtcollege, aimed at engaging our audience ahead of time. These efforts, featuring artists like Paula Temple & Luuk van Dijk, garnered positive responses and increased anticipation for the event.
One of the notable projects during my internship was the By the Creek Cocktail campaign, conducted in collaboration with Rum Club. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, we launched the #lifeisbetterathome challenge to maintain collaboration and raise awareness. This campaign, highlighting the BTC Cocktail, aimed to bring a taste of summer to everyone during the challenging times. Participants had the opportunity to win a BTC cocktail set through a social media campaign.
